Hosted by Yıldız Technical University, the National Technology Summit brought together Turkey’s technology giants. Organized in collaboration with the T3 Foundation and our YTÜ TEKNOFEST Club, the event addressed a wide range of critical topics, from space research to autonomous warfare systems, and from nuclear energy to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

YTÜ Makes a Global Move with “UTPO” Status

YTÜ Yıldız Technopark, which has relocated its presence in the UK’s capital to a new address, has also been granted the status of an International Technology Marketing Office (UTPO) by the Turkish Ministry of Trade with its new office. YTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, who attended the office opening ceremony, emphasized in an exclusive interview with Kanal Avrupa that the office will serve as a global “hub” for Turkish entrepreneurs.

During the meeting, which focused on scientific productivity and internationalization, action plans and incentive mechanisms to strengthen the university’s global standing were discussed.

The Taygan drone system, unveiled for the first time at SAHA EXPO, is setting itself apart from the competition with its smart launch feature

Developed by Han Robotics, a company based at YTÜ Yıldız Technopark, the Taygan autonomous interceptor drone system made its debut at SAHA EXPO 2026. The system, which stands out for its design that requires no remote control or ground station and features a world-first smart launch capability, can reach a maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour and perform missions within a 10-kilometer operational range.

In the "Technology Leaders of Tomorrow" competition organized by Turkcell for university students, the ENERATICS project developed by YTÜ Electrical Engineering students won the Sustainable Future Award. The eco-friendly infrastructure, which optimizes workloads and cooling systems in data centers, received a 300,000-lira prize from the jury.

The Stars of Hydro Team from Yıldız Technical University took first place at the HydroContest Retrofit Challenge 2026 competition in France. The team achieved this success with projects designed to help a massive 400-meter container ship consume less fuel and emit fewer carbon emissions.

Yıldız Teknopark "ETKİM Yıldızları Hızlandırma Programı"nı tanıttı

The "ETKİM Stars Acceleration Program," launched in collaboration between the Ministry of National Education (MEB) and Yıldız Technical University (YTÜ) Yıldız Technopark, was officially unveiled.

According to a statement from Yıldız Technopark, the program was launched through a collaboration between the Ministry of National Education’s General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Technologies (YEĞİTEK) and the Educational Technologies Incubation and Innovation Center (ETKİM), along with Yıldız Technopark’s incubation center, YTU Startup House.
