We graduated more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students during the ceremonies we held at the YTÜ Davutpaşa Campus from July 6 to 10, 2026. More than 22,000 family members and friends of our students shared in the excitement of the ceremonies, during which our Rector, Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, presented plaques to the top three students in each department.
Our YTÜ Rector, Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, visited all faculties and departments to discuss the “Top 100” goal, the vision for internationalization, support for projects and publications, and university-industry collaboration with our deans, department chairs, and faculty members. During these visits, which focused on gathering feedback and suggestions, collective wisdom, a culture of productivity, and institutional support mechanisms emerged as key elements for YTÜ to advance more strongly toward its future goals.
Approximately 250 researchers gathered at a workshop organized by Yıldız Technical University for the TUB BAP Collaboration Projects, which were launched under the umbrella of the Union of Technical Universities (TUB). During sessions held across 12 thematic areas, the first steps were taken toward establishing new collaborations for the development of joint R&D projects.
The first Mini MBA Program, organized under the cooperation protocol signed between YTÜ and ASKON, has been completed. Certificates were presented to the business leaders who participated in the training sessions organized by the YTÜ Center for Continuing Education, Application, and Research by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, and ASKON President Orhan Aydın.

Yıldız Technical University showcased its Hydrodynamics Laboratory—which is of critical importance to the maritime and defense industries—to industry representatives. During the launch event, one of Turkey’s first free-running experiment demonstrations was tested.
The “YTÜ Hydrodynamics Laboratory Introduction and Experiment Demonstration” event, organized by Yıldız Technical University’s Faculty of Shipbuilding and Maritime Sciences, was held at the YTÜ Davutpaşa Campus.
YTÜ Alumni Gathered in the Shade of a 115-Year-Old Oak
The Yıldız Technical University Alumni Reunion ’26 brought together hundreds of our alumni from three generations under the umbrella of YTÜ, one of Turkey’s most respected educational institutions with a history spanning over a century. At the reunion, where plaques and certificates were presented to our senior alumni, memories were rekindled and a strong bond was forged across generations; the Yıldız spirit was once again brought to life with the same enthusiasm.
The Class of 2026, who have successfully completed their academic studies at Yıldız Technical University, will receive their diplomas at ceremonies to be held at the Davutpaşa Congress and Culture Center from July 6 to 10. Thousands of students, along with their families and faculty members, will participate in the events and experience the excitement of taking their first step into their professional careers.
A memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of higher education was signed between the Council of Higher Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
Prior to the signing ceremony held at Yıldız Technical University, Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education, met with Prof. Yacoub Ould Moine, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and his delegation.
