Yıldız Technical University (YTÜ) is preparing to celebrate World Yıldız Day with the aim of strengthening its ties with alumni and bringing together Yıldız members from different generations at a joint gathering. The event, organized by the YTÜ Community Club, will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2026, at 7:11 p.m. at the Davutpaşa Congress Center.

Yıldız alumni will gather to build upon their shared history

The 19:11 gathering, which references the founding year of Yıldız Technical University—established in 1911 under the name “Kondüktör Mekteb-i Alisi”—aims to carry the university’s shared history and the bond among Yıldız alumni into the future.

At the event, where alumni from different generations will come together with students and faculty, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, forge new connections, and continue to be part of the university’s shared story.

World Yıldızlılar Day, which aims to keep the university’s connection with its alumni alive and bring their knowledge and experience to students, will provide a platform that strengthens the sense of belonging to the Yıldızlılar community.
