The digital transformation of the water sector will be discussed in Istanbul
The IWA Digital Water Summit 2026, co-organized by Yıldız Technical University and Istanbul Technical University, will bring together the water sector in Istanbul on November 24–26. With YTÜ Yıldız Technopark as the main sponsor, the summit will address the applications of digital technologies in water management.
Organized in collaboration with the International Water Association (IWA) at the Istanbul Congress Center, the IWA Digital Water Summit 2026 will focus on digital solutions for water and wastewater management. The summit, now in its fourth year, will be attended by water and wastewater authorities, technology companies, academics, and government representatives.
The summit’s agenda will cover technologies used in various areas, ranging from monitoring water networks to improving operational processes. The use of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and smart sensors in water management will be evaluated through real-world applications.
From Water Losses to Digital Twins
Organized by the IWA in collaboration with Yıldız Technical University and Istanbul Technical University, the event will address smart networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, automation, and digital twins. Water loss management and decision support systems will also be among the summit’s topics.
Held under the main sponsorship of YTÜ Yıldız Technopark, the summit will bring together participants from various countries to share the technologies they have developed and their practical experiences. At this gathering, where the needs of water utilities will be addressed alongside the solutions offered by technology and engineering firms, opportunities for collaboration between academia, the public sector, and the private sector will be evaluated.
