We sent our stars off into the future
We graduated more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students during the ceremonies we held at the YTÜ Davutpaşa Campus from July 6 to 10, 2026. More than 22,000 family members and friends of our students shared in the excitement of the ceremonies, during which our Rector, Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, presented plaques to the top three students in each department.
As Yıldız Technical University, we held our graduation ceremonies for the 2025–2026 academic year from July 6–10, 2026, at the Davutpaşa Congress and Culture Center. As we sent off 5,205 students graduating from our 10 faculties and 3 institutes into the future, we hosted 22,870 family members and guests of our students on our campus over the course of five days. The graduation ceremonies were attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik; our Vice Rector for Education and Teaching, Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya; our Vice Rector for Administration, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Göksel Ağargün; our Vice Rector for Research and Planning, Prof. Dr. Güleda Engin; our Chief Advisor to the Rector, Prof. Dr. Özer Çınar; our Dean of Students, Prof. Dr. Gamze Varank; as well as institute directors, deans, department chairs, and our faculty members.
Plaques Presented by Our Rector to Top-Ranking Graduates
During the graduation ceremonies, where our Rector, Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, addressed the students and their families, plaques were presented to the top three students in each department. While the top-ranking students received their plaques from our Rector, Prof. Dr. Debik, our undergraduate graduates were presented with their diplomas by deans and department chairs, and our master’s and doctoral graduates received their diplomas from our institute directors.
“Turn the Knowledge You Have Gained into Social Benefit”
In his speeches at the graduation ceremonies, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, thanked our faculty members for their guidance and the families for their sacrifices.
Calling on our graduates to keep their scientific curiosity alive, to continuously develop themselves, and to transform knowledge into social benefit, Rector Eyüp Debik said, “Never give up on researching, questioning, and learning. In the age of artificial intelligence, your greatest strength will be your ability to think critically, generate original ideas, strengthen your intellectual foundation, and apply your knowledge for the benefit of humanity,” he said.
Advising our distinguished graduates to maintain strong ties with YTÜ and the YTÜ Foundation, Rector Debik said, “Be sure to join the Alumni Platform run by our YTÜ Alumni Coordination Office, make a point of attending the annual alumni reunions, and strive throughout your lives to be a strong part of the Yıldız Family and to create value. Let knowledge be your guide and your conscience your compass. I congratulate each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart,” he said.
We Welcomed Our Graduates’ Families and Friends
During the five-day graduation ceremonies, family members and friends shared in our students’ joy. At the ceremonies, which saw 22,870 attendees, our graduates received their diplomas, tossed their caps into the air together, and celebrated this special day—symbolizing their university years—with their loved ones.
We Sent Our Stars Off into the Future
We sent off our graduates—who were educated in various disciplines ranging from engineering to architecture and from the natural sciences to the social sciences—into their new lives, equipped with the academic knowledge, research culture, and professional competence they acquired at our university. As Yıldız Technical University, we took great joy in graduating our students as individuals who develop ideas, conduct research, devise solutions, and embrace the responsibility of adding value to society.
We Wish Our Stars Success in Life
With the graduation ceremonies of the 2025–2026 academic year, we have expanded our YTÜ family with 5,205 new graduates. We believe that our graduates will maintain their connection with our university throughout their lives and will undertake projects that add value to our country and humanity through their knowledge and experience; we wish each and every one of our “Stars” a future filled with health, success, and well-being.
