TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 Funding for 10 YTÜ Projects

The results of the first round of the 2026 1001 Program for Supporting Scientific and Technological Research Projects, administered by the Presidency of Research Support Programs (ARDEB) at TÜBİTAK, have been announced. According to the results, 10 projects led by faculty members at Yıldız Technical University (YTÜ) have been awarded funding.

Based on the results of the first round of the 2026 TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 Program, 10 research projects from various faculties and disciplines at Yıldız Technical University have been awarded funding. Faculty members from the Faculties of Chemistry and Metallurgy, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Science and Letters; these projects cover a broad spectrum of research, ranging from health technologies to artificial intelligence, from energy systems to environmental technologies, and from space sciences to biomedical engineering.

10 projects across various disciplines received funding

Among the principal investigators of the projects selected for funding in the first semester of 2026 are faculty members conducting research in Food Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, and Biomedical Engineering.

The projects cover a wide range of strategic research topics, including AI-supported healthcare applications, cancer treatment, energy solutions for natural disasters, microplastic removal, smart transportation systems, the study of galaxy clusters, biomaterial development, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

The 1001 Program for Supporting Scientific and Technological Research Projects, administered by the Presidency of Research Support Programs (ARDEB) of TÜBİTAK, is among the core support programs aimed at enhancing Turkey’s scientific and technological knowledge base. Under the program, original research projects aimed at generating new knowledge, solving scientific problems, and developing technological innovations are supported. The program, which accepts applications from universities, public institutions, and research organizations, makes a significant contribution to strengthening Turkey’s research and development ecosystem.
