Ergün Kırlıkovalı, the Turkish inventor who made the F-35s invisible, at YTÜ

Ergün Kırlıkovalı, the Turkish inventor and polymer scientist behind the polymer coating technology that makes the F-35 and B-2 aircraft invisible, will meet with our students and faculty members at Yıldız Technical University as part of the Science Café event.

Kırlıkovalı, who studied chemistry at Boğaziçi University and polymer science at the University of Manchester, founded his own company following his R&D work in the U.S. The coating materials he developed for B-2 aircraft paved the way for his company’s participation in the F-35 program. Having transformed his laboratory research into products used in the aviation industry, Kırlıkovalı will share the experiences he gained on this journey with our students.

Kırlıkovalı will deliver a presentation titled “From Idea to Product: Discover the Entrepreneur Within,” and will answer our students’ questions at the end of the program. We invite all students and faculty members who wish to ask him directly about science, technology, and entrepreneurship to join us.
