Niche Roof, which has opened at YTÜ’s Yıldız Campus, welcomes students, faculty, and guests with its 350-person capacity, Bosphorus views, and dietitian-approved menu. With a menu ranging from select dishes of Turkish cuisine to à la carte options, the venue also offers special rates to YTÜ faculty, students, and alumni for weddings, engagement parties, and private events.

A new venue where students, faculty, and university guests can gather has opened at YTÜ’s Yıldız Campus. Located on the rooftop of Blocks A and B, Niche Roof brings a fresh alternative to campus life with its dining options accompanied by views of the Bosphorus and the Historic Peninsula. With a capacity of 350 people, the venue hosts special events in addition to providing daily dining services.

A menu ranging from daily meals to à la carte options

Niche Roof offers two distinct menu options to cater to different needs. The self-service menus, which provide a quick and convenient lunch option, highlight the home-style flavors of Turkish cuisine. The menus—consisting of a main course, rice, and soup—are accompanied by vegetable, chicken, and meat dishes, as well as olive oil-based dishes and salads.

The à la carte menu, designed for longer lunch breaks and after-work gatherings, features grilled meatballs, Norwegian salmon, homemade mantı, grain-based salads, pizza, pasta, burgers, wraps, and desserts. Vegan and vegetarian options are also clearly marked on the menu.

Dietitian-Approved Menus and Hygiene Standards

The menus, prepared with the nutritional needs of students and faculty in mind, are approved by a dietitian. At Niche Roof, which holds a kitchen hygiene certificate, menu prices are offered at special rates for students. The venue aims to provide an accessible and reliable dining alternative on campus with its daily meal options.

A spacious environment with a view of the Bosphorus

The high-ceilinged, spacious dining hall with large glass windows features a striking view of the Bosphorus and the silhouette of the Historic Peninsula. The wooden tables, comfortable chairs, and sage-green columns used in the interior create a warm atmosphere. Skylights in the ceiling bring natural daylight into the dining hall, while the seating area with sofas offers a separate space for quieter conversations and small groups.

Exclusive event opportunities for YTÜ alumni

In addition to daily dining services, Niche Roof can also be used for weddings, engagement parties, and various special events. With a capacity of 350 people, the venue welcomes guests from outside the campus by reservation and offers YTÜ faculty, staff, and alumni the opportunity to host their events on the university campus at special rates. Special events can also be held on weekends.
