Vintage Calculators! This collecting calculators dates back to 1999, when I bought my tube amplifier from the flee market. This Radford STA-25 Series III cost me only 3 or 4USD. After that I've started visiting that flee market again to find other things which may be useful. Then, my attention was drawn to old home computers and pocket computers. However, old home computers were occupying a lot of space therefore I quit collecting them and decided to go for the small ones, which were calculators, watches and pocket computers. I am collecting the items which I would prefer to use if I ware to decide whether to buy that item or not at the time. I bought a Casio PB-1000 with additional 32KB memory when I was a collage student. I used it till I started my Mechanical Engineering education. The reason why I stoped using it was a failure of the computer. The ribbon cable was broken and it was no longer useable. I have started to search for that item in the flee market and I could be able to find 4 of them. Then I have started to search for its' relative, PB-2000C. In the mean time I bought whatever came to my way. When the number reached 500+ I have decided to design a web page and display what I have. However, this was the 5th year since I have started collecting calculators and I was now a MS.c student and had to rise funds for my project. My web page transformed from a online museum to online sales site and I have started to sell my items online. The interest was enormous and I could be able to buy many books and TWO Clio measurement systems (one standard and one lite). Now that I don't need to fund my studies I am back to colleting them again. I am very much into Casio products because of their user friendly interface. Every function works as if you have designed it. You don't need to learn how to use the device, unlike HP products. Everything fits in the logic. I am into powerful computeables like PB-1000, PB-2000C and Z-1 (FX-890P). The most interesting computer of them all is the PB-2000C. TI also buit a computer which can be computed in different languages by inserting the related ROM card, but this is a more improved model. PROLOG, PASCAL, C (K&R) and BASIC, no other pocket computer offers this much flexibility. Besides, the file system is extremely powerful. You can create files from code, save and load screenshots. MD-100 gives the possibility to save your work on 3.5" disks. You also receive a RS-232 and a Printer port. Too much for a pocket computer with 64KB of memory, isn't it?
