Ottoman-German Affairs reflected from the Yıldız Palace Photograph Albums

Within the context of the project carried out by Our University,

"The Ottoman-German Affairs reflected from the Yıldız Palace Photograph Album" exhibit

opens on 28th November 2017 at the Berlin Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey.

Within the frame of the project that is in the charge of the presidency and that is handled by Yıldız Technical University Sultan Abdulhamid the Second Research and Application Center, The Ottoman Empire-Germany Relations through Yıldız Photography Collection” exhibit was held in Turkish Republic Berlin Embassy on 28th November 2017.The books, which were published in Turkish and German of this exhibit that gives us a chance to read the history, the extent and the profoundness of the relations that go back many years between German and Turkish societies, met readers for the first time in Frankfurt Book Fair on the dates between 11th November 2017 and 15th November 2017. The exhibit which consists of rich ptohography collection that the book contains, will be open until 22nd December 2017 in Berlin. In the grand opening that is held in Turkish Republic Berlin Embassy, following the speech of Berlin ambassador Ali Kemal Aydın, Sultan Abdulhamid The Second Research and Application Center Director Prof. Dr. A. Melek Özyetgin gave a speech, and after that with a short documentary screening that tells about Yıldız Palace Photography Collection, the exhibit opening was held.

This exhibit and book study which came to life with the support from Ministry of Culure and Tourism and which is conducted by our university, contributed a great deal to the displaying of Yıldız Palace Photography collection that has a massive importance in the sense of world cultural heritage as well as a unique value.

After the action on Germany following the similar-concepted exhibit and the book study which are about The Ottoman-French relations by Sultan Abdulhamid The Second Research and Application Center, an exhibit and a book study for England and the United States will meet the readers imminently.
