> Candidates who are qualified to study in one of the faculties of YTU are obliged to attend a one or two semester programme to learn English, in case of failing the English Proficiency examination. After the English Preparatory Programme, students are going to be educated their majors in Turkish with compulsory English lessons. For YTU graduates it is the necessity of the age to know a foreign language at the advanced level which they are able to follow foreign publications and also to communicate.

> The Student's Library is getting richer and more useful with modern equipments without interruption. Electronical Library is being formed with CD-ROM databases. There is also one Art Library founded at the Faculty of Arts and Design. At this library which is getting bigger each passing day, there are the main sources of the branches of art.
